A tiny homeless Poodle has been observed snuggled behind a wall on the streets of South Los Angeles for many days. The dog had been hurt in a hit-and-run and had been in anguish for several hours. Someone finally contacted “Rescue From The Hart” to save the sad animal.
The dog laying on the ground seemed to be shivering and defenseless when rescuer Annie Hart arrived, prompting Hart to name the canine Layla. When Hart approached Layla with nice words, she recoiled at first since she was afraid of people; nevertheless, after a few minutes, Layla had warmed up to her new companion.
Annie reassured Layla that she was secure and continued to embrace her. Once Layla was convinced of Annie’s honesty, she leaped into her arms and kissed her!
Annie was shocked to learn from the hospital that Layla’s intestines had been injured and that her condition was severe. Layla’s body showed no evidence of healing for the next two weeks. Layla did, however, recover thanks to Annie’s soothing presence and her new foster parents.
Layla struggled to get well over the following few months, but her foster parents gave her the resolve to keep trying. When Layla ultimately healed and got a lovely forever home, Annie and the foster family were overcome with emotion! What an amazing transformation!
